18:30: Keynote Speech by Irina Chmyreva, Russian Academy of the Arts

19:00 Opening of PWA 2019, by Chief Curator Moritz Neumüller

 

October 4 – Friday

10 – 11:00: Talk with Niclas Östlind: PUBLISHED: Photobooks in Sweden

11:30 – 13:00: Luis Weinstein & Tatiana Sardá: The Photobook in Chile.

 

Afternoon at Dokk1 Library and Aarhus School of Architecture. Early evening at Galleri Image

14:00: A walking tour from Aarhus School of Architecture to Dokk1 with a focus on city corners selected by Stijn Van der Linden.

15:30: Dokk1: An Essay on the Concave City Corner. Book launch and installation opening, by Stijn Van der Linden. Installation curated by Jesper Rasmussen

17:30: Presentation at Galleri Image: Asia 8 (Steidl and Singapore International Photography Festival). Talk by Lijie Zhang and Woong Soak Teng.

 

October 5 – Saturday

10 – 11:00: Jose Luis Neves. The Rebellious Photobook 

11:15 – 12:00: Panel discussion: Beyond The New Topographic Photography and its legacy

What is the current state of architecture and landscape photography? Which books define the horizon of the genre? Taking Grethe Grathwol’s exhibition Organisings. Photography and Photobooks as a starting point, architects, photo theorists and photographers discuss the new topographic photography and its significance for today’s architecture and landscape photography. With Reinhard Matz, José Luis Neves and Moritz Neumüller. Moderated by Anne Elisabeth Toft.
