Chilean photobooks (re-)visited by Tatiana Sardá and Luis Weinstein
Since the very beginning of Photobook Week Aarhus, we have looked at the photobook medium in a global context. Part of this strategy has been to include publications from far-away regions or countries, to present its tradition and specific contributions, in the context of our festival. After Korea, Russia, Japan, Brasil, and New Zealand, this year’s invited guest country will be Chile, and PWA will show an exhibition curated by Horacio Fernández and Luis Weinstein, as well as a presentation by Tatiana Sardá about her photographic practice and the Culebra collective, which she runs together with two other female photographers from Chile: Paula López Droguett and Carolina Agüero.

Take a look at the book Una revisión al Fotolibro Chileno published by the Sud Fotográfica Foundation in Chile and at the list of Contemporary Chilean photobooks that will be presented by Tatiana Sardá at our festival.
