We are delighted to begin announcing some of the participants for our Open Book Market, taking place the 17th of October.
The invited national and international publishers, and also self-publishers will be presenting a selection of titles from their shelves. At the market, visitors get the chance to drink coffee with a publisher and zoom in on their interesting selections of photobooks. New and vintage books can be purchased.
Additionally, the participants of the PAGE TURNER WORKSHOP with paula roush will present their completed photobook dummies as part of Photobook Week Aarhus.

Tofu Collective – Rooms Within China
Rooms Within China is a kaleidoscopic collection of 100 photographs captured by 20 of the most noteworthy contemporary photographers from China. Originating from a wide array of areas, generations and artistic approaches, the contributors altogether form an eclectic image of Chinese contemporary photography and illustrate a broad spectrum of expressions within the complex and diverse phenomenon that is China. All contributions are encapsulated inside rooms as the frame of setting — be it public constructions or private homes — echoing everything from daily chores, work, leisure, pleasure, and interior decor to intimacy, open-mindedness, escapism, current trends, countercultures, and generation gaps. Rooms, in this sense, are a metaphor for human expression, a relatable setting constituted by the basic architectural structure of a floor, a ceiling, and walls, displaying the innermost life of individuals, groups and humanity as a whole.

Our stand at The Open Book Market will have a large international display of second-hand Photobooks dating from about 1900 to the present. The photograph shows just a very few of the books we will bring. We have Photobooks from many genres, titles from well-known and little-known photographers, books at pocket-money prices and also rare and collectable books. We look forward to welcoming you to browse in our selection.
