While we already have our festival dates for 2023 ( 2-5 Nov), we are still struggling to find the right title. So, we just did what everybody seems to do these days, we asked Artificial Intelligence to give us a hand.

Here is a preliminary result (we still don’t have a title, but it was an interesting experience):

PWA: How can we speak about the state of our planet without using dystopian and negative terms? Do we need a new narrative to foster real changes? What can we, as artist, curators, designers, and photographers do to help find this new narrative?

OpenAI: It is certainly possible to speak about the state of our planet in a positive and hopeful way, even when discussing challenges and issues that need to be addressed. It is important to recognize and highlight the efforts that are being made to address these issues and to focus on solutions rather than dwelling on negative or dystopian language.
Artists, curators, designers, and photographers can play a valuable role in helping to find and promote a new narrative by using their platforms and skills to create works that inspire hope and action. For example, they can create art or design campaigns that highlight the beauty of the natural world and the importance of protecting it, or that highlight the efforts of individuals and organizations working to address environmental and social issues.

Additionally, these professionals can use their influence to raise awareness about important issues and to encourage others to take action to make positive changes. By sharing their work and ideas with others, they can help to create a more hopeful and inspiring narrative about the future of our planet.

PWA: Sounds great. Could you give us a title for a festival that deals with this “inspiring narrative about the future of our planet”?

OpenAI: Here are a few potential options:
“The Future We Want: A Festival of Solutions”
“The Great Turning: A Festival of Positive Change”
“Eco-Horizons: A Festival of Sustainability and Hope”
“The World We Build Together: A Festival of Collaborative Action”
“The Better World Festival: Celebrating the People and Ideas That Are Making a Difference”
These are just a few ideas, and there are many other possibilities as well. The important thing is to choose a title that reflects the focus and purpose of the festival and that inspires hope and action.

PWA: In our case it is a festival that has to do with photobooks and artists’ books. We were inspired by a book called “Die Welt ist schön” and we want to include AI in our festival, too. With this information in your head, which title would you suggest for Photobook Week Aarhus 2023?

OpenAI: Here are a few potential options based on the information you provided:

“Seeing the World Anew: Photobooks and Artists’ Books in the Age of AI”
“Discovering the Beauty of Our World: A Festival of Photobooks and Artists’ Books”
“A New Vision for Our World: Photobooks and Artists’ Books in the 21st Century”
“Imagining the Future Through Photography: A Festival of Photobooks and Artists’ Books”
“The Art of Seeing: A Festival of Photobooks and Artists’ Books in Aarhus 2023”

Again, these are just a few ideas, and there are many other possibilities as well. The important thing is to choose a title that reflects the focus and purpose of the festival and that inspires curiosity and engagement.

…. to be continued.
