Photobook Week Aarhus and Art Weekend Aarhus joins forces!
This year Photobook Week Aarhus and Art Weekend Aarhus will be cooperating and several events and exhibitions will be featured on both platforms.
Art Weekend Aarhus is an event that gathers and presents a broad cross section of dedicated actors from the Danish Art Scene.
This year’s festival presents 37 exhibitions, including 27 exclusive openings as well as 27 others events, that includes talks, performances, concerts and film screenings.
The purpose is to underline the status of Aarhus as a hub for contemporary art of the highest quality, in a forum with plenty of room for broad as well as narrow artistic activities.
The ambition is to give audience, curators, art professionals and artists an insight into the current Art Scene and also help develop strategies of cooperation between the many different institutions on the scene.
We believe that a common manifestation where all institutions, large and small, open their doors will create a synergy and show that Denmark is home to a rich and diverse Art Scene. At the same time we use his opportunity to engage in a plethora of professional discussions about art – both among artists and with the audience.
Along with Cph Art Week, Art Weekend Aarhus is a part of Kunsten Media Fonden.
